We did something funny for money

On Friday 13th March 09 (RND09) members of EDL and Logistics London, including Directors and Managers, joined forces and offered customers and staff of Ikea Wembley the unique opportunity of a Human Car Wash.

For 9 1/2 hours, sporting attractive Comic Relief T- shirts, in occasional sunshine, elbow grease and good humour were just two of the requirements used to wash vehicles for charity donations.  This great effort raised £700.  In addition to this, staff within the Home Delivery Department encouraged customers to lighten their pockets by throwing any spare loose change into the infamous red charity collection buckets.  This raised an additional £83.00.

A big Thank You to all those who participated. Good fun was had by all.
